Twilight

So I went and saw Twilight and it was good! Mostly good to get out of the house and have a fun night(thanks Beck!) but the movie was good too. It took me a while to see each character as they were portrayed on screen, but once I got over what I thought they should look like, I really enjoyed the show...so here is what I am!
I'm a Bella! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!

Tagged

So Steph tagged me forever ago so here goes...I did another one to that I think is fun so whoever I tag can do whichever one they please! One is a little more fun and light...the other is a little deeper and heartfelt. So anyways, here goes.

first tag...
A: ATTACHED OR SINGLE - attached
B: BEST FRIEND - Adam of course!
C: CAKE OR PIE - hmmm if I HAVE to pick..peach pie and by the way I never get peach pie! No restaurants ever sell it on the dessert menu and neither side of the family makes it for family functions and I am not exactly Betty Crocker to make my own so hint hint for my B-day that is still a looong time away lol
D: DAY OF CHOICE - Saturday, because we usually get to hang out as a family
E: ESSENTIAL ITEM - sunglasses- I am a squinter without them!
F: FAVORITE COLOR - pink anything..poor Kenna will probably hate pink by age 4!
G: GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT - Finally getting pregnant! No sadly not again, but with Kenna. I am so blessed to have her!
H: HOMETOWN - Good ole Mtn Home (not missed one iota!)
I: INDULGENCES - Treats (like peach pie)because of my ever lasting quest to lose weight!
J: JANUARY OR JULY - July because I looooove the sun and BBQ's for the holidays
K: KIDS - McKenna Reese almost 2!
L: LIFE IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT - Gray's Anatomy...I hate waiting all summer long for the new season to start!
M: MARRIAGE DATE - September 20, 2002
N: NUMBER OF SIBLINGS - 6...4 fabulous sisters and 2 amazing brothers
O: ORANGES OR APPLES - Oranges, but only if they are sweet and juicy. I only luck out on oranges 1 out of 4 purchases....is there a secret way to tell if an orange is going to be good before you buy it??
P: PHOBIAS OR FEARS - Being alone
Q: QUOTES - "The difficulty of life itself is a blessing! For it initiates a desire within us to come to the Lord-a yearning we can feel even when we are blinded by sin!" James L Ferrell
R: REASON TO SMILE - Mckenna calls me Mama Chei and then if she's really upset at me (like if I didn't turn Dora on for the gazillionth time that day) she puts her hands on her hips and glares and screams Cheilah!! over and over. Who can't laugh at that!
S: SEASON - Winter, but only when it is postcard perfect! I love the snow when it's fresh and the world is white and you get all bundled up to be warm and toasty to go outside and see your own breath. Plus, then how much sweeter is your winter vacation to the sunny warm beach!
T: TAG THREE FRIENDS - Sara, Stephanie D, and Kari....
U: UNKNOWN FACT - Hmmm I am such an open book. I used to like to eat soap when I was pregnant...gross huh! Only Coast and I wouldn't actually swallow it, I just wanted to taste it!
V: VERY FAVORITE STORE - Target, Target, Target! I can throw a rock and hit the Target here-yay! Wait this is a bad thing too. I never realized that now Adam will have to get a second job!-now I go for diapers and come back with a cart full of things that I must have lol!
W: WORST HABIT - I have become a very pessimistic person...something I desperately want to change!
X: X-RAY OR ULTRASOUND - Ultra sound and make it 3-D stat!
Y: YOUR FAVORITE FOOD - Peanut Butter...in peanut butter lovers delight from Coldstone, with bananas, on a sandwich, in cookies, candy, whatever...I love it!
Z: ZODIAC - Scorpio

Second tag...

Joys:
1. Having Kenna. Even when I am having the worst day ever and am bawling my eyes out, I have her. She exhibits such pure Christ-like love and forgiveness that I can't help but be uplifted by her!
2.Gaining a stronger testimony and becoming closer to my savior.
3.Going on vacations. I love being somewhere new and seeing different cultures, tasting different foods,(sometimes! lol) and experiencing a different way of life.
4.Reading a fantastic book. I am addicted to Stephanie Meyer and can't wait to read Breaking Dawn!

Fears:
1.To be alone. Not for an hour or two, but to really be alone.
2.To lose my husband or my daughter or anyone that I love and cherish
3.Bees, wasps, yellow jackets, whatever stings. I am a spectacle when they come around. I hate them! And they loooove me. I have tried the whole leave them alone and they will leave you alone and it DOES NOT work! They come after me and attack with vengeance!
4.Flying. I hyperventilate and get light headed. I have been know to bawl like a baby occasionally! I fly often and I really have not gotten any better at it. Luckily I usually have Kenna now to distract so it makes the time go by quicker!

Goals:
1. To fulfill the things that I was sent here to do and to be forgiving and uplifting and kind and genuine and a fun person to be around.
2. To not have regrets at the end of the day.
3. Find more opportunities to serve others.
4. To learn how to cook! I would love to have an actual meal plan for every week and just know how to throw things together in a jiff! And to know what kind of meat is what-hello I am a lost puppy in the meat department at the grocery store!

Current Obsessions:
1. Parks. I am on the hunt for new ones and fun things to do that do not involve me sitting at my house with Kenna all day long! I am soooo lonely here so it helps to get out and Kenna has a blast! Maybe I should start wearing a T-shirt that says "Will you be my friend? I am only crazy some of the time and here is my number...call me!"
2. Bike riding. We live at the top of a mountain and ever way down is at least a 9% grade and dang it one of these days I will make it all the way up without having to walk my bike!
3.Running. I have never been a good runner, in fact I do not think I have ever run further than a mile without walking part ways so I am determined to run at least 30 straight minutes! And hopefully someday get the mythical "runners high" that ever runner raves about. So far I always finish running wanting someone to harpoon me and put me out of my misery!
4.Gardening. I really, really want a garden and an orchard. I believe things die though in 115 degree weather don't they??

Random Surprising Facts:
1. I love, love, love swimming and I absolutely HATE to be wet! Well at least with my clothes on. I am so lucky Adam ever married me because on one of our first dates ever we went to a concert in Ogden and we were running late and we had to park waaaay in the back of the lot and it was pouring rain and I got soaked and was so incredibly grumpy about it the entire night and he still asked me out again...what a guy!
2. I am a snoop. I love to find birthday and Christmas gifts ahead of time!
3. I can not keep a gift a secret for long. I will beg for you to guess what it is and and talk about what a great gift I managed to find and then if you do guess it, I will be mad! I no longer buy gifts in advance...I do not trust myself with the responsibility of keeping quiet about it!
4. I get addicted to pulling weeds. There is something fabulous about ripping those suckers out and then at the end everything looks lovely!

Change

So I have been harassed by quite a few people(you know who you are!) about my snowy picture in the middle of summer posted ages ago on my blog. I do have some excuses...first of all Idaho had a 9 month long winter season! What a miserable cold winter that just kept going and going this year. Secondly, I have been crazy busy with McKenna and so much change going on in life. Third-we moved...yup it is finally done. This has been talked about for months and months and months but it has finally happened. So we just got Internet service and I can finally post again-wahoo! So my apologies to everyone, but I will try to keep up a little better now :)

McKenna is doing wonderfully! I thought she was going to freak out when we moved because I have read plenty about kids her age not adapting well to change and totally digressing when a move happens, but she ran in the new house giggling and running wild and quite literally has not stopped since! (Yes she is exhausting...can I borrow a little energy once in a while!) She is so much fun though-I am so blessed to have her. I always think that right now is my favorite phase, but then she grows and matures and moves into a new phase that I just love as well. I really can't believe she is almost two though...the time really has been flying and I hope and pray that I am doing a good enough job raising her! She definitely tests my patience some days, but for that I am grateful because I can see myself growing into a better person every day because of her! I will post some new pics as soon as I can find the cable to download them!

I also wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who has been there for me so much lately...my life has been so stressful and chaotic and I am so grateful for all of you who have really helped me along. Your kind words, phone calls and prayers are so appreciated. I truly have been learning so much about myself and much comes from your loving words of encouragement and thoughtful guidance. Thanks you so much! I am so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!

Snow!

I have decided that I want to start doing flower gardens. I think I have been shamed into it by all of our neighbors perfect yards! But really I think it will be fun. Being completely new to this...any suggestions on flowers that I can plant now and that are able to take some serious unintentional abuse by a probable, somewhat neglectful gardener? I hope it is not too late in the season to start (although it shouldn't be because our crazy weather here-yesterday it snowed! Yes snowed!!) What I wouldn't give to be living back in Vegas right now with their tropical 78 degrees!

McKenna's New Hobby

So Kenna has a new hobby....stalking the cat. Don't get me wrong she has always loved poor Lizzy from day one, but recently she has taken to stalking. Poor Lizzy is never safe. Kenna will sneak around and is absolutely delighted every single time she finds Lizzy snuggled up and sleeping peacefully. McKenna will immediately pounce and then it is on. Luckily, I think Lizzy enjoys the chase in some sick, demented way. Once Kenna gets her, the two of them engage in battle until one finally has enough (in other words either Lizzy bit Kenna a little too hard or Kenna removed too much fur and part of Lizzy's tail) and comes crying to mom. (Yes the cat comes to me as well.) It is actually pretty funny to watch!

Happy Easter!

So we are trying out the blogging thing...it seems like such a good way to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in life. We will see how well I keep this up. I have never been that good at keeping a journal so we will see!

This year was McKenna's first Easter egg hunt! She had so much fun. We hid eggs all over the yard and she ran around so excited to find so many treasures just waiting for her. She was so funny when we took her to see the Easter Bunny. She couldn't wait to go say hi to the bunny and kept waving and laughing, but as soon as we got to the bunny-whoa, wait just a second! Who is this crazy bunny! There is no way I am sitting with it!

She is growing up so fast and we are loving every minute of it. She is so much fun! She looked so cute in her little Easter dress. She is such a ham!
